What's in my school bag 2016

Hello guys. This week I got a new school bag and I am getting organised with my school bag so I thought I would do a blog post on what is in my school bag at the moment.

My bag is from Newlook and it was £19.99 and it has one main pocket and a little zip pocket on the side. This is just what I am taking to school on Monday and I will add my lunch in the morning and the amount I take each day can change due to my timetable.

So first of all I have my books and planner. In the picture I have my As level PE text book that I use in lesson and the green exercise book is one of my 3 PE exercise books. I have a plastic wallet that has a few loose sheets that I don't need to take a folder for. And last of all I have my planned which has my timetable on the top so I can see it easily; I get my planner from my school.

Next I have a water bottle that I fill up at school and I always have a water bottle because I am trying to drink more water especially at school. Next I have my makeup bag which is empty at the moment because I put my makeup in after I do it in the morning. The I have Dobe invisible deodorant and soap&glory mist you madly body spray with is a great body spray for school. Then because I have been ill recently I have some tissues in my bag.

Then I have in the zip pocket I have a little purse with some tickets for the school musical which is this week and a memory stick in. Then I have my keys and earphones, also I ah e some post it notes which I use in my PE text book because I can't write on it. Finally I have my USB cable for my phone so when I am in a free on a computer I can charge it up.

My pencil case if from Waterstones and it is Jim Chapmans stationary collection. And I just have in it; pens, pencil, ruler, glue stick, scissors and a multi pen.

I hope you liked this blog post and thanks for reading. If you have any suggestions on what I could write about or what you would like to see just comment below.

January favourites 2016

It's the end of the month where I tell u all the things I have been loving that month. This month has been very hard to pick from, meaning I haven't included some things because they were to close to call. So I hope you enjoy.

Makeup favourites:
January for me has been about trying new products and these are the ones I have been loving. First of all I have been loving the L'oreal infallible range; I have the foundation in 12 natural rose, the primer and the press powder in 123 warm vanilla. The only concealer I have used this month is the Maybelline fit me concealer in 15. The eyeshadow pallets I have been using to create different eye looks from natural to deep smoky eye is the Makeup Revolution Redemption pallets essential mattes 2- which ranges from light to dark and has amazing pigmentation. The 2 mascara a that I have been using this month have been the Benefit roller lash and the Seventeen backlash in black brown- together they make my lashes really long and it lasts all day and doesn't crumble. Last the nail polishes I have been loving are the Newlooks Pure colour in 62 deep red and the matte top coat and the L'oreal color riche 104 Beige countess .

Now to my random favourites:
I have been loving using my diary to keep organised and this one is from Paperchase and has a page for everyday in, which helps me to plan what I am going to do everyday. The music I have been listening to are the albums Adele 25, The Vamps Wake Up and Little Mix Get Weird, I got all these CDs for Christmas and I love the artists a lot.

Thanks for reading. Now comment below and tell me what your monthly favourites are.

10 thing to know before high school

At the moment I am in the first year of sixth form in the UK. So I have been in high school for 5 years already and these are a few things I wish I new before I got into high school. Also this is a collaboration with Melinda or @vanilla.highlights on Instagram, she will be doing school advice and her link will be in my Instagram description and my tweet. Hope you enjoy X

So number 1 is don't get into drama or create drama. School is already a stressful time without you making it worse by being in drama. Girl drama is always the worst, it can be really nasty and hurtful and I would say I have had a good few girl fights in my time. Out of my experiences it's best to just stay out of drama and just be friendly to everyone.

Number 2 is to try and get along with all of your teachers, I know this is hard and there are some teachers no one gets along with. However if you get along with your teacher you will most likely enjoy the classes and lessons a lot more. I used to hate my Spanish teacher and that is why I didn't like it, but my geography teacher I got along with really well and thus meant I enjoyed the lessons and didn't see them a chore to go to.

Next for number 3 is to get involved with loads of activities like sports, drama or science clubs, this is where you are most likely to make a hold load of new friends, this is especially good if you are just starting high school and don't know many people. I did dance club when I started in high school and this is how I met some of my friends that I still speak to to this day.

Now number 4 in high school people will always ask to "borrow" a pen which really means your not getting it back so I always have on,y 1 pen in my pencil case so when people ask I can show them I only have one, and I have the rest of my pens in the packet still in my bag.

Number 5 is to know that throughout highschool you are going to change, I am definitely not the same girl I was in year 7. So just go with the flow, you will loose friends and gain them. This is the whole part of growing up and I wouldn't get hung up on it because if you are meant to be friends you will stay friends. I have learnt this lesson many a time over the years. This process really makes the strong independent person you are today.

So number 6 is that you shouldn't follow the crowd or the populars as some people call them, be your own person. I used to want to be like the populars because I thought I would get noticed if I did but really you just blend in if you do. If you are yourself and dress like you, you will stand out as an individual and that is better than being a copy.

Number 7 is to do fun things in school, it's not all about studying and working you should always remember to have fun and make loads of memories. People always say that highschool are the best days of your life and I didn't believ them until I left and I really miss having the fun times with my friends. The best way to remember what you do with your friends is to take loads of pictures so when you look back on highschool your will be able to see it all.

Number 8 is to stay organised, I know loads of people say this but it so true, if you stay organised you will have more time to hang out with your friends because you will know when work is due and you will have done work straight away. I wish I was more organised in highschool because I was always doing work the night before stressing about if I was going to get it done. It's best just to stay organised.

Number 9 is to not worry about getting a girlfriend or boyfriend because not slot of highschool relationships last that long, I would rather focus on making memories with my friends and doing amazing things all together.

Finally number 10 is just to be yourself and have fun. Highschool is about having an amazing time with friends, meeting new people, trying new things and making tones of memories that will stay with you for thirst of you lives.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it and comment below what is your favourite thing about school x

What's in my travel makeup bag

First of all I would like to say this a collaboration with Abbie who is doing a blog post on Travel essentials. Her blog is great and really deserves loads more readers so go check it out.

http://rosesandwanderlust.blogspot.co.uk

When I go traveling or I go on holiday I find that I don't want to take a lot of makeup, and if I do I don't wear most of it. Now when I got traveling I only take the bare essentials.

Base: I use the L'oreal infallible mattifying primer, this keeps my makeup on all night and I don't really use this during the day because when I go on holiday I am normally in the sea so it would just come of anyway. Next I use a BB cream from Garnier which is for combination to oily skin and is the shade medium, this is great for me because as you know I have oily skin and I can't use normal BB creams because they contain oil to hydrate you skin and that just masked me oily; however this BB cream doesn't contain oil but is doesn't leave you skin feeling dry which is amazing. Finally for base, in case I have any spots or bleamishes I take my Fit Me concealer by Maybelline which is my all time favourite concealer.

Powders: to set my BB cream I use the L'oreal infallible press powder in warm vanilla, this sets my makeup and keeps it matte for a long time. For when I go out and I get a little oily I take my stay matte powder my Rimmel London in warm beige, this just keeps me matte if I need to touch up. For my blush I use Rimmel Londons blush in Santa rose which is a pinky coral shade and suits warms skin tones. For my bronzer I use Hoola from Benifit, I take my travel size one so it doesn't take up a lot of space, this gives you a natural bronze glow which I live for when I go out for a meal at night.

Lips: In the day I use the Baby lips form Mayblelline, I have the hydrate one which has spf in, I always get burnt lips which is horrible so this is great for when I go down to the beach or to the pool. For nights out or when I want some colour on my lips I use the moisturising lip butter by Collection in the shade cappuccino, this hydrates you lips and is a coral shade which I love to wear when I have a tan.

Brush: to apply my makeup I only bring 3 tools which are all from Real Techniques.  First I have my powder brush and I use this for powder and bronzer. Next I have my blush brush which I use for blush. Finally I have my miracle complexion sponge for my BB cream and concealer.

Leave a comment below telling me which is you favourite makeup product for when you go traveling or on holiday 🌸

Superdrug haul and reviews

I thought for my first post I would do a review for you. I bough these products a few weeks ago and I have tried and tested them throughout the two weeks.

I will start with base. I have always said, if u have a good base you are more likely to have a good end makeup look. So this is the L'oreal infallible mattifying primer, which is £7.99 inSuperdrug UK. It says "L'oreal Paris makeup designers have developed a mattifying base that locks in shine and enhances foundation, makeup result never greasy. All-day comfort". I picked it up after tying lots of different primers because I have really oily skin which makes it hard to have foundation last all day without having to top up on powder. I don't think I wil ever find a primer that will make me shine free for the whole day. However I think this comes pretty close. I don't have to apply powder twice a day like I do with other primers, I only apply it around mid-afternoon which is really good for me. I would really recommend it for people who want a matte finish that will last a very long time and is not burning a whole in your savings.

Next I picked up two Real Techniques products. I got the blush brush which is £9.99 in Superdrug UK and the miracle complexion sponge which is £5.99 in Superdrug UK. I really like the other Real Technique products and these are no exception, there are really good quality for the pricing and they work like a dream. The blush brush is great because I just want a light blush not heavy and this does this it leaves a light blush on my cheeks and it makes it look natural not cakey. The makeup sponge was amazing it made me us less foundation than if I applied it with a brush. It makes my foundation go on without any patchiness and it looks natural. The multifunctional ends are great, I can use it for putting foundation on and blending my concealer out. I would recommend this brand to anyone who is just starting out with makeup or people who want to extend there collection of makeup applicators.

This next two products I bought were the L'oreal cream lipgloss in 'I Got The Power 110" and the L'oreal lip liner counture in ' beige a nu 630'. I wear these two lip products together. I first put the lip liner all over the lip and then I apply the lipgloss over the top. I find this keeps the colour on my lips for a lot longer. The lip pencil is not drying, it doesn't flake off it applies smooth like a cream feel. Also the lipgloss cream is not too tacky and is not sticky and it keeps the colour for a long time.

Finally I bought the Collection eyes uncovered nude palette, the Collection Sheer loos power in 2 transparent and the L'oreal nail varnishes in 000- Parisian crystal and 104- beige countess . I love this eye shadow palette, I use it for an everyday natural eye look and it is great for school because you can create natural eye looks that are not over the top for school. It really last along time and for around £4 it is great value for money. The eyeshadow so don't crease and last for ages on the lid. The loose powder is great for setting under eye concealer and making sure it downt crease. I got the lighter shade because I want to highlight my under eye to make me look awake. The nail varnishes are great quality and the colours are great. The beige countess is a very nude colour and is great for someone who just wants a natural colour not to over the top on the nails.
